Teacher and Owner

   Daniel Ales has over 20 years’ experience with the piano. In his youth he was under the tutelage of Heather Rathnau, the author of the nationally recognized music theory series, Theory Time. After attending HBU for a few years where he studied under Dr. Melissa Marse, he was interviewed with the United Sates Army where he was offered a position to play piano in a variety of settings all over the world. Seizing the opportunity, Daniel pushed pause on his educational goals in order to acquire real world experience as a performing pianist. While in the military he had opportunities to play in a variety of genres including; Jazz, Dixie, Country, Rock, and Orchestral. After receiving an honorable medical discharge from service, Daniel continued his educational goals at SFASU, where he studied under Dr. Andrew Parr. In 2015, he graduated with a degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy.
